Indication

Use
Pour 2 teaspoons of the blossoms over a cup of boiling water (optimal 80°C), allow to steep for 10 minutes and then strain and drink in sips. Up to 3 cups can be drunk daily.

Erica / Heather
Heath herb is one of those medicinal herbs that is known by many other names. It is also known as broom heather, burnt heather, hoaden, immerschön, cow heather, zetten or heather. The latter name comes mainly from the fact that every autumn the heather turns the heath into a sea of purple flowers. But the heather does not only look beautiful. The plant's healing properties are also impressive.
As early as the Middle Ages, the erica herb (Herba Ericaceae) was known for its many healing properties and is one of the herbs from the teachings of Hildegard von Bingen. It is mainly used for digestive problems, gout and rheumatism, depression, kidney gout, complaints and infections of the urinary tract, gastrointestinal diseases and respiratory complaints. Erica herb can also provide relief from colds and flu-like infections.
Use
You can prepare ericaceous herb as a tea or make tinctures and ointments with it. To make a tea, take 1-2 teaspoons of ericaceous herb and pour about 200 ml of boiling water over it. After infusion for about 10 minutes, strain the tea and let it cool down a bit. It can then be sweetened with a little honey and drunk lukewarm in sips.
