Essential oils are food for the skin and senses. Experience the beneficial and holistic effect of aromatherapy for your well-being - balancing the psyche and stimulating the body's defences.
We offer a wide range of essential oils for various applications and uses. Whether ready-made fragrance blends or high-quality individual oils - in our shop, both beginners and professionals of aromatherapy will find everything their hearts desire. We pay special attention to the quality of our products. For this reason, most of the products we stock are 100% natural essential oils.
How do essential oils work?
In the context of aromatherapy, essential oils not only alleviate physical complaints, they also have a beneficial effect on our soul. The reason for this is above all the scent of the highly concentrated oils: we absorb the scent molecules through our nose, which reach our central nervous system directly via the olfactory mucosa.
The range of effects of essential oils is extremely diverse. High-quality lavender, clove or sage oil, for example, has an antibiotic and disinfectant effect. Caraway, marjoram or cinnamon oil, on the other hand, have a positive effect on the digestive system. Those in search of relaxation, on the other hand, should turn to rosemary, spruce needle or nutmeg oil. Using the right essential oils can also work wonders against wrinkles or colds.
This is how you can use essential oils:
Depending on the purpose and desired result, essential oils can be applied in a variety of ways. The most common variations include:
- via fragrance lamps and aroma diffusers
- for inhalation
- in massage and skin care
- in balms for application to the skin
- in sauna infusions
- as bath additives
- in mouthwashes
- application of diluted essential oil directly on the skin
- Internal use by ingestion
Important: When using essential oils, please make sure that they do not come into direct contact with the skin and mucous membranes. They can be very irritating and should therefore only ever be used in diluted form.
Tips for storage and shelf life of essential oils
Essential oils are very sensitive to light. To enjoy your oils for as long as possible, we recommend that you store them in a place that is as dark as possible - such as a drawer or a small box. Also, make sure that the vials are not exposed to temperature fluctuations (such as when stored in the bathroom), as these can also affect the quality and shelf life of the oils.
