Indikation

ausgezeichnetes Vorbeugungsmittel gegen Migräne (der Hauptwirkstoff ist ein Gegenspieler des Serotonins, das bei der Bildung der Migräne eine Rolle spielt) und bei Frauenleiden, die heilige Hildegard empfiehlt das Mutterkraut bei Menstruationsbeschwerden und Regelschmerzen.

Anwendung

1 Teelöffel auf 250 ml kochendes Wasser und 5min ziehen lassen. Mutterkraut sollte über einige Wochen genommen werden (Aufguß).

In dieser Zeit sollten die Migräneattacken deutlich nachlassen. Im Anfall wirkt Mutterkraut nicht. In der Volksmedizin bezeichnet man mit Mutterkrauttee auch eine Mischung aus Kamille, Pfefferminze und Melisse.
