Dental care with natural substances
To maintain the health of our teeth, regular brushing is absolutely essential. It is not necessarily advisable to use synthetic toothpaste and antibacterial mouthwash from the shops. Instead, natural dental care can also do something for the health of teeth and gums.
Why healthy oral flora is essential for good health
Oral flora is the term used to describe the microorganisms and strains of bacteria found in the human mouth. If these bacteria are in the right balance, we speak of a healthy oral flora. In this condition, no diseases can develop in the gums or teeth.
But our oral cavity is also an ideal incubator for pathogenic bacteria, which mainly feed on sugary food residues. The more sugar is consumed, the faster these bacteria can multiply in the oral cavity and thus severely disturb the balance of the oral flora. The result is usually plaque, tartar and, in the further course, tooth and gum disease.
Natural teeth cleaning - the right way
To restore the natural balance of the oral flora, regular brushing of the teeth is particularly important. Among other things, you should pay attention to the following:
If possible, change your toothbrush every 6-8 weeks.
In addition to a normal toothbrush, you should also use an interdental brush.
Always brush your teeth from top to bottom - that is, from the gums to the teeth. This is the only way to prevent you from pushing bacteria back into your gums.
Use a tongue cleaner to remove plaque on your tongue.
Natural toothpaste
In addition to regular brushing, the most important thing is which toothpaste you use to brush your teeth. Commercially available toothpastes usually contain many harmful ingredients such as fluoride, triclosan, sodium lauryl sulphate, various parabens, polyethylene glycols, synthetic sweeteners and many more. When we brush our teeth, these ingredients, some of which are toxic, enter our bloodstream directly through the mucous membranes of our mouth and subsequently burden our liver, kidneys and intestines.
Of course, there are also products that do not contain these additives. In our shop you will find a selection of such natural toothpastes. The cleansing effect of these toothpastes is in no way inferior to that of commercially available products.
