Juice fasting – a special form of fasting

Juice fasting is a very special form of fasting, because through this diet we particularly address our kidneys. (Vegetable) juices namely contain a large amount of potassium and this is very important for our kidneys to strengthen and flush them.

Which juices do we drink?

It is advisable to carry out a juice fast with freshly squeezed juices, in order to avoid annoying preservatives that are processed in bottles. In addition, fresh juices naturally contain much more vital substances than is the case with preserved or pasteurized juices. This is because a number of especially the sensitive vital substances are destroyed during preservation. Furthermore, it is much tastier to fast with fresh vegetables. Another point is that during this time you can develop a perhaps new or changed consciousness to the food from nature and deepen it more during the fasting by preparing it.

How do we prepare juices?

To prepare a freshly squeezed juice, you will need a juicer – no blender please. We want to separate the fiber of the vegetables and the juice.

These different devices vary in their respective “capabilities” and can be found in a wide range of prices.

If you want to start cautiously at first, you can buy an inexpensive machine. But if you want to start with a professional device, we recommend a slow juicer.

The so-called slow juicers gently press the vegetables in a slow process. This gives the juice thus homogenized and with the highest level of vitamins.

What ingredients do we need to make a juice?

We are basically talking about vegetable juices and not fruit juices in juice fasting. We want to relieve the pancreas and give our body only the smallest amount of fructose during this time.

The juices consist of celery, cabbage, parsley, carrots, kohlrabi, beetroot, fennel, savoy cabbage, celery, parsley root, parsnips, broccoli, green cucumber (snake cucumber), wheatgrass, barley grass & a “touch” of lemon in each case.

What juices do we consume and how much do we drink daily?

Three juices a day – that has to be enough!

It is advisable to start with one green juice a day. This means to use all vegetables with the color green.

At noon the juice may already get a stronger color. Accordingly, process a lot of carrots and some of the beetroot.

The evening juice may then get a strong color, which means here the beet may not be missing.

We recommend to drink the juices at 10 o’clock, at 14 o’clock and at 18 o’clock.

What can or should we drink during the fast?

Please drink plenty of fresh, filtered, non-carbonated water between vegetable juices and also up to one liter of herbal tea.

Please refrain from black and green tea during this time. Also from coffee!

What time and duration is suitable for such a cure?

Spring as well as autumn are fantastic times for this cure.

Depending on the time, a cure can last from three to seven days – the longer, the more effective.

The rest – activity principle

The daily schedule is well structured to ensure a holistic cure. There is a harmonious relationship between rest and activity phases. In addition, anyone who needs time out for themselves has the opportunity to do so at any time. The internalization of an individual and healthier lifestyle does not succeed through passive consumption. Accordingly, it is advisable to prepare your own juices and to put aside your cell phone or laptop for a while and also to let your social contacts rest for a few days in order to give yourself the time to hold an inner “show”.

Synergy of fasting, detox and vital substance boost

Fasting is beneficial, this has been known since time immemorial and is also confirmed by the latest medical research.

By leaving out any solid food, without carbohydrates, proteins and fats, the body releases certain hormones after about 12 hours. Thus the body begins to diminish ill cells as well as Ein – and deposits (autophagy – processes).

Chamfered does not mean alone renouncement on food. It means also distance to win from any too much. For example also from too much busyness, distraction, media consumption or too much consumption altogether.
