Aspalathus linearis (Burm.), cut, certified organic, sweet and malty, black tea-like flavour

Rooibos, known botanically as Aspalathus linearis, is a leguminous evergreen shrub native to the dry, mountainous regions of South Africa. The narrow, needle-like leaves, which are a striking greyish-green, line its branches closely, giving the plant a distinctive structure. During the flowering period, small, delicate flowers unfold in loose umbels, giving the plant a subtle touch of colour.

Indications

Has a vasodilatory effect, lowers blood pressure and has an antioxidant effect. Contains magnesium, calcium, phosphates, vitamin C, iron and fluoride, making it suitable for use as an isotonic sports drink.

How to use

Pour 150 ml of hot water (80°C) over 1 teaspoon, leave to steep for 5-10 minutes, strain and drink.
