Mountain ash berries, Rowan berries, organic - 100g

Sorbus aucuparia, whole dried berries, from controlled organic cultivation.
 
Indication
Diuretic, laxative, for urinary retention, constipation, colds, scurvy, for strengthening the immune system; very high vitamin C content

Use
Very popular as a mush against loss of appetite and indigestion. Several times a day, 1/2 to 1 teaspoon can be taken to stimulate the production of juices in the stomach. Likewise, tea made from rowan berries can be consumed for an upset stomach.
Preparation of rowan berry jam (puree): The rowan berries are boiled with a little water until soft, passed through a sieve and cooked until thick with the same amount of sugar by weight and a dash of white wine to make the jam (puree).
Preparation of rowan tea: pour 1/4l boiling water over 1 tablespoon of dried, chopped berries and leave to infuse for 8-10min, covered. If necessary, drink 1 cup, in case of diarrhoea 1 cup of tea 2 times a day.
