The white dead nettle is a herbaceous plant from the labiate family that looks similar to stinging nettle but has no stinging hairs. The plant prefers nutrient-rich soils and is often found on forest edges or roadsides. It flowers from April to October. It contains mucilage, flavonoids, tannins and saponins.

Indication

Internally for colds, inflammation of the upper respiratory tract and disturbed sleep. External use for dry vaginal mucosa, varicose veins, fever, burns and gout.

Application

Infusion for internal use: Pour a cup of boiling water over 2-3 teaspoons and leave to infuse for 5 minutes. 3 cups daily.
