Guaiacum officinale L., cut, from conventional cultivation

Guaiacum wood comes from trees of the genus Guaiacum, in particular Guaiacum officinale and Guaiacum sanctum, which are native to the Caribbean and Central America. These evergreen trees are characterised by their extremely hard, resinous wood and their bright blue flowers. The wood contains various valuable substances, including guaiacol, guaiaresin, lignans such as guaiacine, guaiaconic acid and guaiacresin, as well as essential oils and saponins.

Indications

Traditionally used for rheumatic diseases, respiratory diseases, digestive problems, as an anti-inflammatory and antiseptic.

How to use

Add approx. 2 g of guaiacum wood to 250 ml of cold water, heat to boiling point and strain after 15 minutes. Take 3 cups a day.
