Damiana (Turnera diffusa) is a perennial, bushy plant that reaches a height of 0.5 to 1.5 meters. Its leaves are opposite, oval to lanceolate, measure 2 to 10 cm in length, and are dark green and aromatic. The flowers of damiana are funnel-shaped, yellow with purple or brown markings, 2 to 5 cm in diameter, and bloom from spring to fall. The fruits are small, capsule-like pods containing several brown seeds.
