Thyme is among the best-known and most traditional culinary and herbal plants of Europe. Its sharp, spicy aroma with a slightly bitter, earthy-smoky note is as indispensable to Mediterranean cuisine as it is to traditional herbal lore.
Use
As a spice: Rubbed thyme is excellent for fish, meat, pasta and potato dishes, as well as for sauces and tomato or mushroom dishes. Best added at the very start of cooking, so thyme releases its aroma optimally. See the "Preparation" section for details.
As a tea: Thyme is also well suited for a spicy infusion, often combined with other Mediterranean herbs.
Traditional European herbal knowledge: Thyme is among the herbs long valued in European herbal lore for centuries, where it is mentioned in connection with wellbeing. About the Plant
Thymus vulgaris belongs to the mint family (Lamiaceae) and is native to the Mediterranean region. This low-growing subshrub forms small, grey-green leaves and delicate, pale violet flowers, both rich in essential oil.
Other names: In German, thyme is also known as Demut, Echter Thymian, Garten-Thymian, Immenkraut, Kunerle, or Römischer Quendel.
Historical roots: The significance of thyme has been documented for many centuries, including in older herbal books such as the "Gart der Gesundheit" and the writings of Italian physician Pietro Andrea Mattioli. Hildegard von Bingen also mentioned thyme in her records on monastic medicine. This long tradition was also honoured by the German Society for Natural Health, which named thyme "Herb of the Year" in 2006.

Wunderbarer Duft

Sehr Zufrieden

Ganzjährig eine Wohltat!
Den immer guten Thymiantee trinke ich seit Jahren täglich, er hält meine chronische Bronchitis in Schach. Damit der Körper sich nicht an ihn gewöhnt, soll man allerdings eine Trinkpause einlegen. In den 2 Wochen im Sommer, in denen ich mich dazu durchringe, fehlt er mir allerdings sehr. Ich kann ihn sehr empfehlen. Die Qualität hat mich noch nie enttäuscht.

Bio Tee
Der Tee wird bei mir verdampft und schmeckt unwahrscheinlich gut, ebenso tut er gut, geht mit all seinen guten Wirkstoffen, da hin, wo er soll.
Der Versand war sehr schnell und rwibungslos. Gerne wieder.
