Meadowsweet, also known as goat's beard or meadow queen, is a plant species from the rose family. Meadowsweet is widespread throughout Europe and grows on nutrient-rich, moist soils. For this reason, it is mainly found on riverbanks, streams, and moist meadows. Meadowsweet owes its name to its former use as a sweetener for wine and mead.
In naturopathy, meadowsweet herb, which is obtained from the flowering, dried stem tips of the plant, and meadowsweet flowers are traditionally used. Meadowsweet herb is used primarily for colds, as the plant is said to have fever-reducing and anti-inflammatory effects.
In addition to phenolic glycosides, which are converted into essential oils through drying, these properties are mainly due to the flavonoids, tannins, and salicylate compounds contained in the plant.

Bin mit der Qualität und Wirkung sehr zufrieden.
Die Mischung mit Weidenrinde , Mädesüß, Teufelskralle und zusätzlich mit Brenbessel und frischen Ingwer ergibt es einen wirksamen Schmerztee.
