Indication
For bronchitis, irritation of the lungs, acute internal and external inflammation of the mouth, eyes and intestines, for gouty pain, toothache, stomach cramps
Use
For men: Pour 1 litre of hot (80°C) water over 10 tablespoons of the mallow flowers. Cover and leave to infuse for 20 minutes. Strain and drink a whole litre throughout the day. Women take 6-7 tablespoons, children 3-4. Cure over 6-8 weeks.

History:
Already 5,000 years ago, the mallow (Malva neglecta) was successfully used as a medicinal plant by the Chinese and also in the Bible it is mentioned that Jesus administered mallow tea to a sick person with fever.
So it is not surprising that Pedanios Dioscorides, the most famous pharmacologist of antiquity, mentioned the mallow's expectorant and irritation-relieving properties in his writings and recommended drinking mallow juice daily to be prepared against various diseases.
In the Middle Ages, mallow was even considered one of the most important herbs of all.

Medicinal properties
Nowadays, mallow is mainly used to treat colds and inflammation of the throat and mouth because of the mucilage it contains.
In addition, mallow flowers in particular are used to treat other complaints such as intestinal ulcers, diarrhoea, colds or flu-like infections, haemorrhoids, coughs, inflammation of the stomach lining (gastritis), stomach ulcers, inflammation of the mouth and throat or heartburn.
Use
The most common form of administration of mallow or mallow leaves is mallow tea. The following applies to the preparation: Men should pour 10 tablespoons of the mallow blossoms over 1 litre of hot (80°C) water and let it steep, covered, for 20 minutes. Strain and drink the whole litre throughout the day. Women take 6-7 and children 3-4 tablespoons. Use as a course of treatment for 4-6 weeks. Important: The water must not boil.
An alternative to mallow tea is a cold water extract (macerate) of mallow. This is often used for inflammations in the mouth and throat. For this purpose, we recommend adding 2 tablespoons of mallow leaves to 250 ml of lukewarm water and letting the mixture steep for 7 - 9 hours. After straining the herbs, the macerate can be drunk or gargled.

Ich bestelle wieder
Ich bestellte für eine Teemischung (Arzneitee) hier das erste Mal Tee, der nicht in Beuteln ist. Zu meiner Überraschung schmeckte der Tee nicht ekelhaft bitter, sondern sehr gut! Auf jeder Packung klebte ein Etikett mit einer Zubereitungsanleitung, die sich jeweils unterschied. Ich bin sehr zufrieden und bestelle erneut.
