Maca is a herbaceous plant from the cruciferous family with a tuberous taproot. It grows in the high Andes of Peru at an altitude of over 3,800 metres and is adapted to extreme climatic conditions. The leaves grow in a rosette close to the ground and the flowers are small and cream-coloured.

Use
Add 10-15 g to approx. 1 litre of water, bring to the boil & simmer gently for 30-45 minutes, drink warm or cold.
The cooked slices can also be added to smoothies,
or as a base for a tincture.
