The ground organic hibiscus flowers with their pleasant, slightly sour taste are the powdered product of the flowers of the hibiscus bush, botanically known as Hibiscus sabdariffa.
Indication
In African folk medicine, this medicinal plant is used against high blood pressure, to relieve cramps, for flushing therapy (diuretic), to stimulate the gall bladder and against inflammation.
How to use
Pour 1/4 liter of boiling water (ideally 80°C) over 1-2 teaspoons of hibiscus flowers, leave to infuse for 10 minutes and then strain. Alternatively, it is also popular as a seasoning or colorful eye-catcher for fruit, vegetables, drinks, salads and desserts.
1-2 Teelöffel Hibiskusblüten mit 250 ml heißem Wasser (optimal 80°C) übergießen, 10 Minuten ziehen lassen und anschließend abseihen.
Alternativ auch gerne genommen als Würze oder auch farblicher Hingucker für Obst, Gemüse, Getränke, Salate & Desserts.
Traditionell in der afrikanischen Volksheilkunde verwendet:
-bei hohem Blutdruck
-zur Krampflösung
-zur Durchspülungstherapie (diuretisch)
-zur Förderung der Galle
