Panax ginseng is a perennial plant of the Araliaceae family, native to East Asia and highly valued in traditional medicine. Its striking taproot and palmate leaves with five to seven fan-like, serrated segments characterise its appearance. In late summer and autumn, delicate, greenish-white umbels adorn the plant, followed by red, berry-like fruits.
Indications
General tonic, invigorant, for fatigue and weakness, declining performance and concentration, convalescence, adaptogenic agents.
Directions
Pour 300ml of hot water (80°C) over 3g (3 teaspoons) of the cut drug and leave to steep for 10 minutes with the lid on. Then strain and drink the tea twice a day after meals. After a period of use of 3-4 weeks, take a break. Another application is possible after a sufficient break.
