Cacao nibs are small, broken pieces of fermented, dried, and roasted cacao beans, which are extracted from the fruit of the cacao tree.
Pure, intense, authentic: Cocoa nibs are coarsely broken pieces of cocoa beans with no processing whatsoever, in their rawest form. The Aztecs and Maya already revered the cacao tree (Theobroma cacao - “food of the gods”) as a sacred plant and used the beans as currency and in ritual drinks.
Raw organic nibs are rich in natural flavonoids, magnesium, iron, and theobromine, and retain their full nutritional profile because they are not roasted.
