The bitter clover leaf comes from a perennial aquatic plant from the gentian family. It prefers to grow in damp, marshy areas and is characterised by its three-cornered, elongated leaves. In late spring and summer, the plant produces small, white-pink coloured flowers that appear in racemose inflorescences. The leaves are known for their bitter flavour and are used in traditional herbal medicine.
Indication
For loss of appetite, fever, to strengthen digestion
Application
As an infusion: 2-3 teaspoons in a cup of water, leave to infuse for 10 minutes. 2 cups per day.
To stimulate the appetite, drink in sips 30 minutes before a meal.
Do not drink more than 2 cups per day.
