Chilli Birdeyes is a perennial herbaceous plant from the nightshade family that grows to a height of 30 to 90 cm. It forms upright, bushy shrubs with green, lanceolate leaves and small white flowers. The fruits are small, cone-shaped chilli peppers that turn from green to red or orange when ripe and have a high capsaicin concentration. Originally from tropical and subtropical regions, it is now cultivated in warm climates worldwide.
