Vanilla pods are the dried pods of the vanilla orchid and contain aromatic seeds with an intense, sweet and creamy flavor. To use, cut the pod lengthwise, scrape out the seeds and add them to the recipe. The empty pod can also be cooked. After use, the pod can be used for vanilla sugar.
