Application
Mix 2 tablespoons of the root with 500ml of cold water, bring to the boil and then simmer for 20min. Strain and drink the amount in 3 portions. Cure for 6-8 weeks.

Burdock root
Many of us are certainly familiar with burdock root from walking or hiking, when the hooky flowers of burdock get stuck in the dog's fur or in our clothes. What many do not know: Burdock is a very useful medicinal plant that was already successfully used by the ancient Greeks and later by Hildegard von Bingen and Pastor Kneipp for a wide variety of ailments.
Today, burdock root is mainly used to purify the blood, to stimulate liver and gall bladder activity and for rheumatism and gout. It also has a positive effect on hair loss, eczema, crusted wounds, ulcers and psoriasis.
The reason for the positive properties of burdock root are its ingredients, which include inulin, essential oil, mucilage, bitter substances, sulphur-containing substances, caffeic acid derivatives, phosphoric acid and tannic acid.
Use of burdock root
The most common form of application for burdock root is as a tea or tincture. Burdock root can also be used as an oil extract or ointment.
The preparation of burdock root tea is very simple. Mix 2 tablespoons of the dried root with approx. 500 ml of cold water, bring to the boil and boil for approx. 20 minutes. Then strain and drink three cups of burdock root tea throughout the day. It is recommended to take the tea as a cure for six to eight weeks.
Internally, the tea can be used to purify the blood and promote liver and gall bladder activity. Externally, the tea can also be used as a bath additive, on a compress or when washing against eczema, ulcers, skin impurities and light wounds.
The tea can also be used as a rinse against hair loss or dandruff on the scalp.

Bereits mehrfach gekauft
Die Klettenwurzel ist super! Ich muss sie allerdings vor der Verwendung noch selbst mahlen, das ist etwas schade, da es bequemer wäre, sie direkt als Pulver kaufen zu können, aber vielleicht hat es ja einen guten Grund. Ich kaufe sie immer wieder!

Speziell
Die Herbathek-Lieferung ist immer wieder erfreulich. Ich habe den Klettenwurzeltee während meiner Fastenzeit getrunken. Aber er ist schon speziell. Etwas sämig und der Geschmack ist schon sehr eigen. Ich hab noch was übrig und werde mal versuchen, ihn einzuweichen und als Gemüsebeilage zu essen. Über Geschmack lässt sich halt nicht streiten.
