Organic Amalaki Churna is obtained from the fruit of the Emblica officinalis plant, also known as Indian gooseberry or Amla. This evergreen plant from the Euphorbiaceae family grows as a small tree or shrub that can grow up to 8 metres high. The leaves are shiny and elliptical, while the fruits are initially green-yellowish and turn a bright yellow to orange colour when ripe.
Also known in Ayurveda as the ‘fruit of youth and beauty’.
Known in German as the ‘Indian gooseberry’.
