Glycyrrhiza glabra L., cut root, certified organic

Ground licorice root, often referred to as licorice powder, comes from the roots of the licorice plant (Glycyrrhiza glabra). It is particularly popular because of its strong, sweet aroma.

Licorice root was already a valued commodity in ancient Egypt and was found as a valuable offering in royal tombs. In ancient times, it was also a sought-after commodity in the Mediterranean region and was transported along important caravan routes as far as Asia.

In medieval monasteries, the aromatic root found its place in traditional herb collections and was used in various recipes. Later, it became an integral part of early European confectionery and spice mixtures.

With the growing spice and tea trade in modern times, licorice spread to many regions of Europe and remained a characteristic element of classic herbal culture.

gute Mischung

Das Pulver ist sehr fein gemahlen und von unglaublich köstlichem Geschmack. Ich streue auch meiner Hündin etwas über das Futter, weil sie Probleme in den oberen Atemwegen hat. Kaufabwicklung hervorragend. Volle Kaufempfehlung
