The rose hip is the fruit of the wild rose (Rosa canina), which is found in large parts of Europe, Asia and North Africa. After flowering, it develops and ripens in autumn into a bright red or orange false fruit.
Indications
high vitamin C content – up to five times more than in lemons, contains vitamin B1, B2 and beta-carotene, rich in minerals such as calcium, iron, magnesium, sodium, phosphorus, as well as omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, bioactive plant substances, flavonoids, helpful for colds and supportive for the kidneys.
How to use
Pour 1–2 teaspoons of the powder with 250 ml of hot water (80°C), leave to steep for 10–15 minutes and strain.
Drink it pure, add it to muesli, yoghurt or smoothies.
