Hawthorn is a thorny shrub/small tree from the rose family. It has deeply lobed, serrated leaves and dense, white to pink inflorescences in spring. In autumn, bright red pseudo-fruits ripen. Hawthorn prefers to grow on sunny forest edges and is known for its heart-strengthening effect.
Historically, hawthorn has been one of the most documented medicinal and useful plants in Europe since the Middle Ages. In herbal books of the 15th and 16th centuries, it was mentioned as a heart and circulatory remedy, and monastery gardens cultivated hawthorn specifically for its medicinal properties. It is also described in folk traditions as a protective and useful plant, for example for enclosing fields or as a component of hedges.

Herzstärkung - Herzdurchblutung & Immunsystem
Bei einer Grippe ist immer das Herz mit belastet. Deshalb ist es wichtig dem Herz wieder etwas Gutes zu tun und das geht sehr gut mit Weißdorn in Verbindung mit Rosmarin und Melisse sowie Pomeranze.
