Hyssopus officinalis L., cut herb, certified organic
Hyssop is a perennial, aromatic plant belonging to the mint family (Lamiaceae) and reaching a height of 30 to 60 cm. Its narrow, lanceolate leaves and bright blue to violet flowers, which grow in spike-like inflorescences, bloom from July to September. Hyssop thrives best in sunny, dry locations in southern Europe, the Middle East and North Africa.
Indications
Chronic bronchitis, bronchial asthma, gastro-intestinal catarrh, flatulence. Saint Hildegard used hyssop for lung and liver complaints and for the associated sadness and listlessness.
Use
Hyssop is used as an aromatic, spicy culinary herb. It can be drunk as a tea or in tea blends. Add 1-2 teaspoons to 250ml of hot water and let it steep for about 10 minutes.

Qualität nicht überzeugend!!
Überwiegend verholzte Stengelanteile, kaum Blätter, geschweige denn Blüten, Erntejahr 2015. Fehlendes Aroma!
