Dental Care
Regular brushing is absolutely essential for maintaining healthy teeth. However, it is not necessarily advisable to use synthetic toothpaste and antibacterial mouthwash available in shops. Instead, natural dental care can also be used to promote healthy teeth and gums.

Why a Healthy Oral Flora Is Essential for Overall Health
The term oral flora refers to the microorganisms and bacterial strains present in the human mouth. When these bacteria are in the right balance, we speak of a healthy oral flora. In this state, no diseases of the gums or teeth can develop.
However, our mouth is also an ideal breeding ground for pathogenic bacteria, which primarily feed on sugary food residues. The more sugar consumed, the faster these bacteria can multiply in the mouth, disrupting the balance of the oral flora. This usually results in dental plaque, tartar, and eventually tooth and gum diseases.
Natural Teeth Cleaning – How to Do It Right
To restore the natural balance of the oral flora, regular tooth brushing is especially important. When doing so, you should pay attention to the following:
Change your toothbrush every 6 to 8 weeks, if possible.
In addition to a regular toothbrush, use an interdental brush (also called an interproximal brush).
Always brush your teeth from top to bottom — that is, from the gums towards the teeth. This helps prevent pushing bacteria back into the gums.
Use a tongue scraper to remove deposits from the tongue.
Natural Toothpaste
Besides regular brushing, it is particularly important which toothpaste you use. Most commercial products contain a variety of harmful ingredients such as fluoride, triclosan, sodium lauryl sulfate, various parabens, polyethylene glycols, synthetic sweeteners, and more. When brushing, some of these toxic substances pass directly through the oral mucosa into the bloodstream, subsequently burdening the liver, kidneys, and intestines.
Of course, there are products available without these additives. In our shop, you will find a selection of such natural toothpastes. The cleaning effectiveness of these natural toothpastes is comparable to commercially available products.
