As soon as the temperatures get warmer in spring, the hay fever season begins for more than 20 million people in Germany. Flying pollen makes for itchy eyes, runny noses and downright sneezing attacks are not only annoying for those affected, but also seriously debilitating for the entire body.

In this blog article, we would like to show you which natural remedies can actively support you with allergies such as pollen allergies and hay fever.

Reishi mushroom as a wonder weapon against allergies and hay fever

The Reishi vital mushroom has long been known in Chinese and Japanese medicine for its anti-allergenic effect. The medicinal mushroom is also becoming increasingly popular here in Europe. Reishi – also called “shiny lacquer mushroom” or “Ganoderma lucidum”, not only increases vitality, but above all strengthens the immune system. The latter will benefit you especially if you suffer from one, or more allergies. By taking Reishi regularly, you can ideally ensure that you notice significantly less of your allergy over time. And here, among the many Reishi products, the spore powder is the most effective:

Fight allergies with black cumin oil

Black seed oil has many high-quality ingredients that can counteract allergies. These include the large amounts of omega-3, -6 and -9 fatty acids. Also, the essential oils it contains help with allergies and infections due to their disinfectant, antioxidant and antifungal effects. Another helpful ingredient is “Nigellon Semohiorpion”. This is a bitter substance that counteracts cramping cough attacks.

You can use black cumin oil for metabolic allergies, hay fever and any kind of asthma.

Tip: If you suffer from acute hay fever, you should already start taking black seed oil in winter. Although the oil is also effective for acute symptoms, taking it beforehand has proven to be much more effective.

Black Currant Extract

Blackcurrant (Ribes nigrum) is a blessing for many hay fever patients. It has an anti-inflammatory effect and acts quickly like cortisone, but has no side effects. The active ingredients of the black currant also have the ability to regulate our immune system in case of “malfunction”. This regulatory ability provides relief from various allergies, hay fever, eczema, as well as asthma, bronchitis or chronic inflammation.

Eucalyptus oil as an all-rounder for hay fever and allergies

We’ve often talked about the power of essential oils. For hay fever patients, we can recommend eucalyptus oil, which can do wonders for hay fever. The essential oil opens the sinuses, has an anti-inflammatory effect and promotes the removal of mucus. It’s best to add a few drops of the oil to your inhalation water. You will see: The hay fever symptoms will noticeably subside.

Peppermint and green tea as hay fever helpers.

Hot tea has a similar effect to hot water vapor. So you can also use peppermint tea for inhalation. This has a decongestant and expectorant effect. Green tea has many beneficial properties and relieves your allergic symptoms thanks to its antioxidant properties.

Prevent allergies with nettles

And speaking of tea: Two cups of nettle tea daily help prevent allergic reactions and relieve itching, runny noses, and irritated mucous membranes. If you want to do something more against your hay fever, you can add a spoonful of honey to your nettle tea. Honey not only has an analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect, it also helps particularly well against hay fever.
